SUPPORTING SMALL ITALIAN FARMERS
NONNO ("grandpa" in Italian) embodies the small Italian olive grower: deeply tied to his land for generations, he cares for century-old olive trees. His craft is rooted in areas of Italy with the perfect microclimate, resulting in a rare production of 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil, made as it once was. Yet, in a market where the big players make the loudest noise, NONNO’s effort often remains in the shadows. We are here to give him visibility, inviting you to choose his artisanal oil. Supporting him means preserving traditional Italian knowledge and excellence, while keeping NONNO's story alive.
CELEBRATING TIMELESS TRADITIONS
As any Italian grandfather will tell you, life used to feel richer when it was simpler. He embodies a way of living that has little patience for modern frills, reminding us that real meaning is found in life’s small joys. Think of long tables set in the countryside, a friendly game of bocce, meals made from local ingredients—moments that bring us back to the good habits of the past. We celebrate the spirit of our NONNO, and invite you to embrace it too. He is our guide in a mission to slow down, starting with one simple, perfect ritual: bread and olive oil.
PROMOTING EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
Hippocrates called it “the great healer,” Galen prescribed it as a universal remedy, and Homer praised it as “liquid gold.” Extra virgin olive oil is far more than a healthy fat: its polyphenols, powerful antioxidants, slow down aging and protect the heart and circulation. For the long-lived Nonno, EVOO is medicine, beauty, energy, and culture. Yet today, we often reduce it to a simple condiment, forgetting that it is the very foundation of the world’s healthiest diet. As children of the Mediterranean, it is our duty to restore its place as an ingredient of excellence, for both health and gastronomy.
